Crisis Support Scheme

Neema Women Community has decided to implement a Crisis Support Scheme (CSS) to support families and women from vulnerable backgrounds at crisis points and experiencing hardship and poverty. The strategy involves providing you with a case worker who is tasked with assessing your situation and creating an action plan. Our scheme works in close collaboration with a number of other community organisations and local authorities around the city in a multi-agency working model. From a wider perspective, our aim is to enable the reduction of the impact that hardship and poverty has on the lives of children and women. We help with a range of issues including:

Whilst the ongoing financial crisis widens and continues, we are here to help you with a much-needed food parcel. Please note that we are unable to replace your income. We are able to provide one-off food parcels per household. We can provide you with food parcels and food vouchers as necessary. We can also provide foodbank vouchers for you to collect food parcels at other food banks if necessary. When available we also supply toiletries and hygiene products upon request.

All of the support offered through the Crisis Support Scheme is provided following an initial assessment conducted by a professional team, selected by ourselves, and with a primary contact with the individual or family. The assessment is usually done in three stages:
